Good Skin Days Vitamin C Serum Review

Friday, November 20, 2020

I am always on the hunt for a good skincare product, and I probably mentioned this a million times on my blog, but I have been struggling with acne for a long time, and I want to shed some light on products that have helped my skin. I heard a lot of good things about this vitamin c serum from Good Skin Days and I thought I should give it a try and give my honest opinion about it. For those of you that don't know, Good Skin Days is an affordable skincare brand launched by Soko Glam. I am not a professional when it comes to skincare, but I do want to talk about my experiences using this product an how it has affected my skin. I heard that using this vitamin c serum is supposed to help brighten my skin and help with acne scars. My skin has some discoloration and dark spots due to scarring and I have been desperately trying to find a product that will help heal those scars. After doing some research and learning more about how vitamin c helps my skin, I decided to try it out. I looked through a lot of different brands and finally narrowed it down to this one by Good Skin Days which has positive reviews. This is my first time trying a vitamin c serum on my skin, so I was pretty excited to see the results.  Their vitamin c serum contains vitamin B3 and licorice root extract to help brighten the skin and diminish dullness, improve tone, and minimize the appearance of pores.

How To Use: Use the serum after you cleanse and apply toner to your face. Apply 2-3 drops and gently massage into your face or add 2-3 drops in your favorite moisturizer and apply to your face.

Pros

Let's start with what I liked about this serum. Apart from the cute packaging, I did notice a difference in my skin tone when using this serum, my skin was definitely brighter and I had lesser dark spots on my face. Also, because I'm on a budget, this serum was very affordable and for the results that I got from it, it is definitely worth it. A lot of vitamin c serums that I saw were way over my budget, so it's good that this brand made their serum affordable for those of us on a budget, but still want a good quality serum. To recap, here is a list of the things I loved about this serum:
  • Cruelty free and vegan
  • Budget friendly
  • Cute packaging
  • Made my skin brighter and helped with the dark spots
  • Feels lightweight on the skin
  • Fragrance free (subjective)

Cons

Not every product is perfect, so I'm going to list out a few things that I didn't love so much about this vitamin c serum. The first thing I noticed when I used this product was that it was oil based. I have oily type skin and the feeling of having oil go on my face is not my favorite. However, since I'm only applying a small amount, I'm slowly getting used to it and it dries on the skin fairly quickly. Another thing is that is leaves a burning feeling when I'm applying it. This feeling only lasts for a few seconds, but I think after a couple weeks of using it, my skin has gotten used to it so I don't feel it anymore. To recap the points I've made:
  • Oily consistency
  • Leaves a burning/tingly sensation on my skin

If you are looking for an affordable vitamin c serum, I highly recommend giving this brand a try. You can check it out here. It definitely gets the job done and I got pretty good results after one month of using it. This is also a good one to use if you are trying out vitamin c serums for the first time and aren't ready to splurge on an expensive one. Also, if you are looking for a cruelty free skincare brand, I would recommend Good Skin Days. Overall, I think this serum is worth the price. If you guys have used this serum before, let me know what your experience was and your thoughts on the product. I hope this review was helpful for you all.
