Hello everyone! I hope you all are staying cool this summer, especially those in the U.S who are battling the crazy heatwave. Luckily, the Bay Area hasn’t exceeded 100 degrees, but it definitely felt like it the past couple days. I made a trip up to Sacramento over the weekend, and it was around 90 degrees up there. I originally went to see the sunflower fields, but unfortunately they were all wilting, probably due to the extreme heat. We made a trip to downtown Sacramento and came across this cute rose garden and decided to do a photoshoot here, so at least the trip wasn’t for nothing. I was surprised the roses were still thriving and the garden looked so nice and well maintained.
For this outfit, I decided to wear a green maxi dress with printed earrings. I thought the maxi dress would be a good choice for the heat because it was loose and flowy, so at least my legs can breath. I also liked the strappy design for the top portion of the dress. It allows room for my arms to breath and move around more easily in. The dress also shaped to fit my body nicely, showing off your curves without being too restricting. The fabric is very soft and stretchy so you can move around more easily in and is more breathable. This dress is perfect for summer outings. I also paired with these cheetah/leopard print earrings that I bought from Michael’s and put together myself which only costed me $10 total!
These earrings paired nicely with the dress as it adds a nice statement to the outfit and compliments the soft colors from the dress. I think the maxi dress and printed earrings is a nice balance between bold and soft. The small details on the earrings makes a huge statement when paired together with a simple solid colored dress. I didn’t want to include any other patterns as it might have been too much with the outfit or it would start clashing.
Thanks for reading my blog post! I will see you all in my next post which I’m hoping will either be a post for my blog tips segment or food diaries segment. Have a great day and make sure to stay cool and hydrated.
